OOXii Global was born from a commitment to innovation and making a difference. Around the world, one billion people live with impaired vision simply because they can’t access eye testing and affordable glasses. This challenge inspired the creation of the award winning OOXii Vision Kit—a groundbreaking solution that empowers basic health workers to test for refractive issues, including astigmatism, and provide glasses on the spot.
The journey began in 2017, during a mission in the Solomon Islands, where Dr. Sarah Crowe saw the devastating impact of uncorrected refractive error (URE), commonly known as blurred vision. This moment inspired her to reimagine how glasses could be made accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances.
Today, OOXii leverages innovative technology and visionary thinking to dismantle barriers in global vision accessibility.
Our mission is to restore dignity, unlock opportunities, and empower underserved communities, forging a future where affordable solutions are standard for all.
